Having been involved from the very beginning, he will explain how practical OCC requirements, operational experience, and continuous user feedback shaped the solution, from structured task management and intelligent reminders to event-driven workflows and cross-departmental collaboration.

Using examples from AeroLogic’s day-to-day operation, Frank will illustrate how the OpsTaskBoard has grown beyond its original OCC use case to support a shared operational picture, improve coordination between departments, reduce repetitive administrative work, and turn operational information into actionable tasks.

The platform is designed around dedicated departmental boards, shared tasks, real-time progress monitoring and shift handovers, with event-driven triggers ensuring that relevant tasks are brought to the users’ attention. Beyond using the system herself, Caroline has become an important link between operational teams and product development. Her presentation will demonstrate how continuous feedback from everyday operations has helped shape the OTB’s workflows and user experience and why active user involvement is essential when developing tools for a dynamic OCC environment.

Crew catering is a highly repetitive operational process … until something does not go according to plan. In this presentation, Jennifer Brockhaus from European Air Transport will share EAT’s experience with avialytics’ Crew Catering Solution from the perspective of Crew Care & FOC Support. She will illustrate how AirPortal supports the routine catering process through rule-based eligibility and automated default-order generation, while providing visibility of order and confirmation status. The underlying logic can automatically generate default catering selections based on available offers, eligibility and individual preferences, allowing routine cases to be handled largely in the background. Jennifer will then show how the event-driven OpsTaskBoard complements this automation by bringing exceptions requiring human attention to the operational team, supporting a Management by Exception approach in which users can focus on the situations that really require intervention. The OTB's event-driven concept is specifically designed to create tasks based on defined operational conditions rather than requiring continuous manual monitoring.

Using examples from the maintenance environment, they show how operational information can automatically trigger tasks and make required actions visible to the responsible teams. The OTB is designed to generate and assign tasks from operational events or predefined schedules, helping ensure that relevant actions are addressed without relying solely on manual monitoring. The presentation will also explore an important consequence of digitalization: once processes become visible and structured within a common platform, existing workflows can be challenged and improved and entirely new digital processes can emerge.

How can airlines ensure that safety intelligence actually leads to timely, coordinated and effective action? Using the principles of Safety Intelligence presented in ICAO Doc 10159 as a starting point, David Schöne of FlightGuardian Aviation Safety GmbH will explore the often-overlooked gap between identifying and understanding a safety issue and translating that understanding into operational response.

Using the OpsTaskBoard, David will demonstrate how clear responsibilities, transparent workflows, structured checklists, shared situational awareness and traceable decision-making can turn safety information into coordinated action across departmental boundaries.

He will then provide an outlook on the planned Emergency Response feature designed to coordinate complex and time-critical events through shared task management, role-based workflows, live status updates, and cross-departmental collaboration.

The session will conclude by examining how documented operational response can feed back into debriefing, investigation and organizational learning - closing the loop from Safety Intelligence to Decision, Coordinated Action and Learning.
